     Italian Meat Pie

Ingredients
1 pie crust shell
1.5 lbs ground beef or turkey
1/3 c green pepper, chopped
3 Tbsp water
2 8-oz cans tomato sauce (no salt added)
1 4-oz can mushroom stems and pieces
1/4 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp dried basil
1/4 tsp garlic salt
 
1/3 c grated parmesan cheese
2 cups (8 oz) shredded mozzarella

Instructions
Preheat oven and cookie sheet to 400. Prick bottom and sides of pie crust with a fork. Partially bake pie crust on cookie sheet 8-10 minutes. Cool.
In large skillet, brown ground beef or turkey; drain. Add green peppers and cook 2 minutes. Stir in water, tomato sauce, mushrooms, and other ingredients except cheeses. Simmer 10 minutes.
Sprinkle 1/2 of parmesan cheese on pie crust. Spread 1/2 of meat mixture over cheese. Sprinkle 1 cup of mozzarella on mixture. Layer rest of meat and cheese.
Bake 15 minutes. Put mozzarella on top and bake 5 minutes.
