     Red Pasta sauce

Ingredients
1 lb Sausage
3/4 lb ground beef
1/2 cup minced onion (if desired)
2 cloves garlic crushed
28 oz can of tomato sauce
12 oz tomato paste
14.5 oz crushed tomato
1/2 cup water
2 T sugar
 
1 1/2 t dried basil leaves
1/2 t fennel seeds
1 T italian seasoning
1 t salt
1/4 t black pepper
4 T chopped fresh parsley

Instructions
Brown sausage and ground beef. While browning add all other ingredients in crock pot or dutch oven. When sausage and beef are done add to crock pot and cook on low for at least 5 hours up to 24 hours. The longer the better.
