     Caramel-soaked French Toast

Ingredients
1 1/2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
3/4 cup butter
1/4 cup plus 2 Tbs light corn syrup
10 slices French Bread 1 3/4 inch thick
4 large eggs, lightly beaten
2 1/2 cups milk or half & half
1 Tbsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp salt
3 Tbsp sugar
 
1 1/2 tsps cinnamon
1/4 cup butter, melted

Instructions
Combine first three ingredients in saucepan over medium heat. Stirring constantly until it bubbles.Pour syrup mixture evenly into a greased 9X13 pan. Arrange bread slices over syrup. Combine eggs and next 3 ingredients. Stir well and pour over bread slices. Cover and refrigerate 8 hours or overnight.
The next morning mix the cinnamon and 1 1/2 tsp sugar. Sprinkle over bread. Pour 1/4 cup melted butter over all. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 40-45minutes. Until bubbly. Serve immediately.

Serve with Maple Syrup
