     Bean and mac soup

Ingredients
1 can great northern beans
1/2 TBs. olive oil
1/4 lb. fresh mushrooms
1/2 cup chopped onions
1 cup carrots, sliced
1/2 cup chopped celery
clove garlic, minced
1 1/2 cups fresh tomatoes, peeled and cut up
1/2 tea sage
 
1/2 tea thyme
1/4 tea. oregano
1 bay leaf, crumbled
black pepper to taste
2 cups elbows, cooked

Instructions
Drain and rinse beans,(reserve liquid).heat oil and add mushrooms, onions, carrot, celery and garlic and saute for 5 minutes.
Add tomatoes, sage, thyme, oregano, pepper and bay leaf. Cover and cook over medium heat for about 20 minutes. Cook pasta and drain, don't overcook. Combine reserved bean liquid with water to make 2 cups of liquid. Add the liquid, beans, and cooked pasta to vegetable mixture. Bring to a boil,cover and simmer until heated thoroughly.
