Place 1/3 of potatoes in appropriate sized casserole. Add 1/3 of ham. Dust with flour, salt, pepper and dot with butter. Continue for 2 more layers. Pour milk over until it can just be seen at the edges of the potatoes. Bake at 350 degrees 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Until fork pierces potatoes easily.
