Ingredients
2 cups basil leaves (packed)
1/2 cup pine nuts or walnuts
2 cloves garlic
1 cup grated parmesan cheese
3/4 cup olive oil
1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
 

Instructions
Combine basil leaves, nuts, and garlic in food processor. Begin processing and immediately start pouring oil in a slow steady stream, continuing until all the oil has been added. Stop the machine and scrape down any leaves. When pesto has been processed into a smooth purée, transfer to a bowl or container. If storing, drizzle a thin layer of oil over top.
