     Rhubarb/ Strawberry Pie

Ingredients
CRUST-1/2c. flour
1/4c. whole wheat pastry flour
1/4 c. ground almonds
1/2t. salt
1/4c. cold butter
2 T cold water
FILLING- 1 beaten egg
3/4c. sugar
2 T. flour
 
1/4 t. cinnamon
2 c. chopped fresh or frozen rhubarb, thawed
1 1/2c. sliced fresh strawberries
MERINGUE-3 egg whites
1/4t. almond extract
6 T sugar

Instructions
Blend crust ingredients and roll out for a 9 inch pie.
Put filling over crust. Bake at 375 for 35-40 minutes until filling is bubbling. Top with meringue and bake for another 15 minutes until top is golden brown
Beat egg whites until stiff to make a meringue and add other ingredients.
