Ingredients
2 pkgs dry yeast
1 tsp sugar
1 cup tepid water
1 stick margarine
4 cups water
2 eggs
5 lbs flour
2 tsp salt
 

Instructions
Put 2 pkgs yeast in a saucepan with one rounded tsp of sugar and 1 cup of tepid water. Melt stick of margarine, add 4 cups water and 2 eggs. Mix 5 lbs flour with 2 tbsp salt. Add egg/margarine mixture. Add yeast.
Knead mixture until all ingredients are well mixed. Let rise for 10 minutes. Knead again. Let raise for 3-4 hours. Divide dough into 4. With hands shape into oblong loaves. For braid- divide into 3 pieces and braid. For oblong loaves- slit on top 3 times. After placing on cookie sheet, coat with waxed paper and cloth and let raise another hour.
Preheat oven for 15 mins at 400 degrees. Bake for 45 mins Lower to 350 degrees for additional 45 minutes. Place tray nearest bottom, second tray in middle Alter after first 45 minutes.
