     Carmel Apple Pie

Ingredients
Pastry for double crust pie
8 c. peeled and sliced apples
1/3 c. Dark Corn Syrup
3 T. melted butter
3 T. sugar
1 1/2 tps. Corn Starch
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
CARMEL GLAZE-
 
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. chopped pecans
3 T. Dark Corn Syrup
2 T. melted butter
1 T. Corn Starch

Instructions
Preheat over 375 degrees. Fit one pie crust into bottom of 9 1/2 inch deep dish pie pan. Add apples
Combine corn syrup, butter, sugar, corn starch, cinnamon and salt into small bowl. Pour over apples. Top with second crust. Cut slits in top crust to vent.
Place a cookie sheet under pie and bake for 45 to 55 minutes.
Combine carmel glaze ingredients. Dollop over pie and spread. Bake 10 minutes ntil toppings are bubbly.
