     Tomatillo Salsa Verde

Ingredients
1 1/2 lb. tomatillo
1/2 c. chopped white onion
1/2 c. chopped cilantro leaves
1 tbsp fresh lime juice
1/4 tsp sugar
2 jalapeno peppers or serrano (stemmed, seeded, chopped)
Salt to taste
 

Instructions
Roast tomatillos or canned works good also. Roast by removing husks and rinsing. Cut in half and place under a broiler for 5-7 minutes to lightly blacken skin.
Place tomatillos, lime juice, onions, cilantro, chili peppers, sugar in a food processer and pulse until all ingredients are finely chopped and mixed. Season to taste with salt. Cool in the refridgerator. Serve with chips or in the chilaquiles recipe.
