2 egss
2/3 c. shortening
1 c. honey
2 c. flour
1/2 c. cocoa
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream together shortening and honey. Beat in eggs. Then sift together 3 times flour,cocoa,salt,soda and baking powder.Add dry ingredients alternating with buttermilk add vanilla mix thoroughly.
Pour batter into 2 greased and floured 8 inch pans. Bake at 350 for 18 min. cool and frost
