     Microwave Caramel Corn

Ingredients
2 bags microwave popcorn
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Peanuts if desired
 

Instructions
Add sugar, butter, corn syrup and salt to a large microwave safe bowl. Microwave on high 3-4 minutes, stirring after each minute.
Add baking soda to sugar mixture. Return to microwave for additional 2 minutes.
Place popcorn and nuts in a clean brown paper bag and pour the sugar mixture over the top.
Seal the bag (folding over couple times) and microwave 1 1/2 minutes more. Shake the bag well and pour contents into a bowl. Allow to cool and serve.
