     Mother's Chocolate PIe

Ingredients
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
dash of salt
6 T. flour
3 eggs, separated
2 cups milk
1 t. vanilla
1 T. butter
1 8 or 9 inch pie shell, cooked and cooled
 

Instructions
Mix sugar, cocoa, salt and flour in a sauce pan. Beat egg yolks well; stir into dry ingredients. Add milk, mix well. Cook over low heat until thick. Remove from heat, add vanilla and butter. Pour into pie shell.
Make meringue from egg whites - 2 T. sugar for each egg white. Brown in a 400 degree oven.
