3/4 Cup Milk

1/4 Cup Cherry Juice

1 tsp. Vanilla Extract

2 tsp. Almond Extract

4 Eggs Whites or 2 Eggs

1/2 Cup Chopped Walnuts

18 Marschino Cherries (well drained)

Instructions |

Sift together- flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt
|
|

Combine in seperate bowl- shortening, milk, cherry juice, vanilla, and almond extract.
|

|
|
Add shortening and 3/4 of liquids to the sifted dry ingredients. Beat well. Add remaining liquids and eggs. Beat well. Add cherries and nuts, blend.
|
|
|
|
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes in two nine inch cake pans.
