     Beef and Tortellini Soup

Ingredients
one pound ground beef browned and fat drained
one large can tomatoes in puree
one can diced stewed tomatoes
one can condensed french onion soup
one package frozen french green beans
one package cooked cheese tortellini
chopped fresh or dried basil leaves
one or two medium sized zucchini chopped
salt and pepper to taste
 
garlic powder to taste

Instructions
In a large Dutch oven or sauce pan add cooked ground beef, tomatoes with puree, stewed tomatoes, undiluted French onion soup, frozen French green beans, tortellini, basil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder with three and one-half cups water. Bring to boiling and then reduce heat to medium. Cover and cook for about ten minutes stirring occasionally.
Add chopped zucchini and cook uncovered about ten minutes or until zucchini and tortellini are tender. Let simmer until ready to serve.
(May have to add more water with bouillon if you desire more liquid consistency. Sometimes I add more tomatoes. The tortellini will absorb some of the liquid with time)
Serving Suggestions
Serve with parmesan cheese, garlic bread and a salad.
