     Curried Cicadas and Chickpeas

Ingredients
1 C Brown Rice
2 C Water
1/2 onion
¼ – ½ C blanched, teneral cicadas
1 15-oz can chickpeas
1 6-oz can tomato paste
2 T curry powder
2 T raisins
 

Instructions
Mix together Rice and water and cook for 45-60 min.
Chop the onion and sauté in olive oil. When the onion pieces are beginning to turn translucent, add the cicadas and continue cooking until the onion is translucent. Add the rest of the ingredients and cook, covered, over low heat 15 to 30 min, stirring occasionally.
plain yogurt, to taste Serve sauce over rice and garnish with plain yogurt.

Do not get the legs stuck in your teeth.
