Butter a baking sheet well. For each pecan turtle, arrange 4 pecan halves touching each other in an x-like pattern (to resemble the turtle's body).

Melt caramels and heavy cream in a double boiler over hot, but not boiling water.
|
|
|
Let cool a few minutes to thicken. Next drop spoonfulls of caramel mixture onto the center of the x shape to resemble the turtle's body. Set aside to cool.

|
|
Next melt chocolate morsels. When turtles are firm, spoon melted chocolate over the caramels, leaving the pecans sticking out around the edges. ENJOY!!!
