In a saucepan bring butter, oil, water and cocoa to a boil and set aside.

Blend together sugar, flour and baking soda in a large mixing bowl.
|

|
Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients. Then add remaining ingredients. Pour into a greased 9X13 pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 25-30 minutes. For a jelly roll pan bake for 10-15 minutes.

For icing
Melt 1 stick of butter with 3 TBS. cocoa. Remove from heat. Add 4 TBS. milk, 1 lb. powered sugar and 1 tsp. vanilla. Mix well and pour over cake.
