Sift flour, salt, sugar & cinnamin in bowl, cut in shortening with knife. Reserve 1 cup of mixture for top of cake. Add baking powder mix well, add beaten eggs, milk and beat throughly. Pour into 2 greased layer cake pans, then sprinkle with remaining mix. Bake in 400 oven for 20 25 min until toothpick comes out clean.
