     Chocolate Chip Cake

1/3 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 cups flour
1 1/4 cups buttermilk
2/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs
1/3 cup melted butter
1/2 cup chopped nuts
2 cups heavy whipping cream
2 tbs sugar

CAKE- melt 1/3 cup of the chocolate chips. Set aside. Cream butter. Add sugar and eggs. Add cooled chocolate that was set aside along with the vanilla, baking soda, and salt. Add the flour alternating with the buttermilk. In separate small bowl, combine cracker crumbs, melted butter, nuts, and 2/3 cup chocolate chips. Pour equal amounts of the batter into 2 greased and floured 9in cake pans. Sprinkle the crumb and chocolate dry mixture over the top of the batter in both pans. Bake at 375 degree for 30-40 min.
Whipped cream filling- Add sugar to heavy whipping cream and whip til stiff. When cake is cool, spread whipped cream between the layers and on top. Shave chocolate curls on top. Refrigerate.
