     Pumpkin Pie

Ingredients
1 unbaked pie shell.
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ginger
1/4 tsp cloves
2 eggs
1 3/4 cups pumpkin
1 1/2 cups evaporated milk (12 oz can)
 
TOPPING
1/2 cup chopped pecans
3 tbs butter
1/3 cup brown sugar

Instructions
PIE- beat eggs slightly in large bowl. Add pumpkin and then sugar and spices. Stir in evaporated milk. Pour into pie shell (Brush egg white on bottom of pie shell first to prevent a soggy crust). Bake in preheated oven at 425 for 15 mins. Reduce temperature to 350 and bake 40-50 minutes or until filling is set.
Topping- cut butter into thin slices on top of warm pie and allow to melt. Spread brown sugar and chopped pecans over the butter.
