Wash chicken. Cover chicken with cold water, add 1/2 tsp salt. Bring to a boil, then simmer for approximately 45 minutes until tender. Let cool in broth. Remove chicken from broth. Remove bones and skin then discard. Skim broth. Add chicken back to broth.

Dice celery and carrots. Microwave for approximately 3 minutes to soften. Add diced onions and microwave for 1 minuted more. Add to broth and chicken.

Addtomato sauce, tomatoes, and butter. Let simmer for 15 minutes. Taste test and adjust to get a balance between chicken and tomato.

Cook noodles per package directions.
Serve soup over noodles.

Let each individual sprinkle with Parmesan to taste. Serve with crusty bread.
