Cream shortening, sugar & egg. Sift in flour and stir. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Roll into balls the size of small walnuts. Roll balls in cinnamon & sugar mixture. Place 2 inch apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 min on 350 until lightly brown but still soft.
