     Red Velvet Cake

1 1/2 Cup Sugar
1/2 Cup Shortening
3 Eggs
1 Cup Buttermilk
1 TSP Salt
1 TSP Vanilla
1 TBS Cocoa
2 oz Red Food Coloring
2 1/3 Cup Flour
1 1/2 TSP Baking Soda
1 TBS Vinegar
1 Cup Heavy Cream

In large bowl cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs and cream again lightly. Add buttermilk, salt, vanilla and cocoa. Stir to combine. Add food coloring and slowly add flour. Mix baking soda and vinegar and add to batter and fold in slowly.
Pour into bunt pan and bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
