     Parmesan Sage Porkchops

Ingredients
2 tbsp all purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
Dash pepper
3/4 cup fine bread crumbs
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese (freshly grated or shaker cheese)
1 1/2 tsp rubbed sage
1/2 tsp grated lemon peel (lemon juice works fine also)
1 egg, lightly beaten
2 bone-in pork chops
 
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp butter or margarine

Instructions
Preheat oven to 425. In a shallow dish, combine the flour, salt and pepper. In another shallow dish, combine the bread crums, parmesan cheese, sage and lemon peel. Place beaten egg in a third shallow bowl. Coat pork chops with flour mixture, dip in egg, then coat with bread crumb mixture.
In a skillet, brown chops in oil and butter for 2 minutes each side. Transfer to a greased 11 x 17 in baking dish. Bake, uncovered at 425 degrees for 10-15 mnutes or until juices run clear and thermometer reads 160 degrees.
Serving Suggestions
Serve with a fresh salad and broccoli.
