     Melt In Your Mouth Blueberry Cake

Ingredients
1 1/2 cups sifted flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 eggs, well beaten
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cup blueberries
 

Instructions
Sift flour, then measure lightly. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Beat eggs and sit aside.
Cream shortening gradually add sugar and cream well. Add beaten eggs and blend until fluffy Add 1/3 of the flour mixture stirring well.
Add half the milk (with vanilla) and stir in. Add flour, milk etc. until all are added. Gently fold in blueberries which have been dusted with very little flour Pour into buttered 9-inch cake or tube pan and bake in moderate oven 375 degrees, 30-40 minutes.
May sprinkle batter lightly with sugar before baking for a topping.
