     Soft Pretzels

Ingredients
1 cup milk
1 package active dry yeast
3 tbls light brown sugar
2 1/4 cups flour
10 tabls butter
1 teas salt
2 tabls course salt
1/3 cup baking soda
 

Instructions
warm milk to 110 degrees, pour in medium bowl pour yeast over milk. let yeast soften, stir in brown sugar and 1 cup flour. add 2 tbls of softened butter at a time. add remaining flour. add salt. Knead until smooth about 5 minutes. Cover to double in size.
punch dough down. Shape pretzels. 450 oven. combine baking soda and 3 cups warm water. Dip raw pretzels in baking soad water. Place on baking sheet, sprinkle with course salt. Bake 10-12 minutes until brown.
