     Pan Seared Steaks with red wine sauce

Ingredients
2 boneless Rib Eyes
1 small shallot
1 teas brown sugar
1/4 cup red wine
1/4 cup chicken broth
1 bay leaf
1 1/2 teas balsamic vinegar
1/2 teas Dijon
1 1/2 tabs butter
 
1/2 teas thyme

Instructions
salt and pepper steaks. Cast iron skillet rocket hot. 4 minutes side 1. 5 minutes side 2. take them out plate and cover.
off heat. shallots and brown sugar, 45 seconds. return to med high heat add wine, broth and bay leaf. reduce for about 4 minuted. stir in vinegar and mustard. off heat add butter and thyme. remove bay leaf.
