     Sour Cream Rolls

Ingredients
1/4 cup warm water
1 (1/4 ounce) package active dry yeast or 2 1/2 teaspoons
3 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup sour cream
1 large egg
1/4 cup butter
3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon salt
 

Instructions
Combine warm water and yeast in small bowl or measuring cup. Mix well and let stand for 5 minutes. Lightly oil a large bowl and set aside.
Beat together whole wheat flour, sour cream, egg, butter, maple syrup and salt in another large bowl. Stir in yeast mixture and form into a ball. Transfer to prepared bowl and turn to coat evenly with oil. Cover and let rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
Place dough on a lightly floured surface and roll out to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut into 3 inch squares and roll into balls. Placed on large, greased baking sheet and let rise for 30 minutes.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes, until golden brown.
