     Sauteed Chicken in Cream Sauce

Ingredients
2 whole boneless, skinless chicken breasts, split
2 T. margarine
1-1/2 C. thinly sliced mushrooms
1 C. thinly sliced celery
1/2 medium onion, thinly sliced
1/2 t. pepper
1/2 t. dried basil, crushed
1/4 t. dried chervil, crushed
1/8 t. dried thyme, crushed
 
1/3-3/4 C. dry white wine or sherry, divided
1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, cubed
1/4 C. milk
8 oz. corkscrew pasta, cooked and drained

Instructions
Cut chicken into strips. Melt margarine in large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken, mushrooms, celery, onion, pepper, basil, chervil and thyme. Cook, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes.
Stir in 2 T. wine, reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes.
Combine cream cheese and milk in small saucepan, stir over low heat until smooth. Blend in enough remaining wine to make sauce a pouring consistency.
Place pasta on platter. Top with chicken mixture, pour cream cheese sauce over.
