     Dill Pickles

Ingredients
2 qts water
1 qt white vinegar
1 c canning salt
2 cloves garlic for each qt jar (1 top, 1 bottom)
1 t dill seed per jar
1/2 t hot pepper (optional)
 

Instructions
Heat liquid to boiling. Put 1 clove of garlic, dill seed and cucumber spears in sterile jars. Pour hot liquid over them. Put in top clove of garlic and seal.
