     French roll

Ingredients
6 egg yolks
1 c sugar
1 c walnuts
6 egg whites, beaten stiff
2 t baking powder
1/2 pint heavy whipping cream
Powdered sugar
1-2 T ameretto
1 T maple syrup
 

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F. Beat egg yolks, sugar, nuts, and baking powder. Gently and quickly fold in egg whites.
Oil and line a 10x15 pan with waxed paper. oil the paper and spread batter into pan. Bake for 20 minutes. Remove and cover with a damp dish towel, letting stand until cool. Refrigerate.
Remove cloth, sprinkle with powdered sugar. Turn out onto waxed paper, trim crusts. Whip heavy cream with maple syrup and amaretto. Spread onto dough, roll up, and chill. Sprinkle with sugar.
