Ingredients
1 pound Velveeta Cheese
1/2 pound butter
3/4 pounds onions
1 tsp flour
1 tsp sugar
salt and pepper
bread crumbs
 

Instructions
start with 3 quart casserole dish Slice onions 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick. layer lightly salt, flour and sugar. add bits of cheese and butter. Layer this all the way up.
you can bake slow at 250 for 4 or 5 hours, or 350 for about 2 hours or until onions are soft and done.
