Put water and a pinch of sugar in a bowl. Sprinkle yeast over top
and let sit for 5 minutes.
Combine shortening, milk, salt, 1/4 c sugar, and egg in mixer. Add
yeast with dough hook. Slowly add flour. Knead for one minute.
Set in warm place for 20 minutes.
Melt butter and mix with brown sugar, cinnamon, and nuts. Put 2 T
of butter mixture in pan. Roll dough into half inch balls. Dip in
butter mixture and roll in nuts. Place dough balls in pan. Let rise
for one hour. Preheat oven to 350°F. Bake for 30-35 minutes.
For icing-
Mix milk and powdered sugar. Drizzle over cinnamon rolls.
