1 c. maraschino cherries, halved
|

2 c. pecans, coarsely chopped
|
|
1 lb. pitted dates, coarsely chopped
|

3/4 c. flour
|
|
3/4 c. sugar
|
|
1/2 teas. baking powder
|
|
1/2 teas. salt
|
|
3 eggs
|

1 teas. vanilla
|

Instructions |

|
Grease loaf pan. Line with wax paper. Set aside 10 cherry halves.
|

|
Combine remaining cherries, nuts, dates. Stir together flour, sugar,
baking powder and salt. Add to nut mixture and stir until coated.
|

|
Beat eggs until foamy. Stir in vanilla, fold into nut mixture. Mix
well. Pour in pan and top with cherry halves.
|
|
|
Bake at 300 for 1 hour and 45 minutes. Cool
|
