Pop popcorn and remove old maids.
In large kettle combine brown sugar, butter, corn syrup and salt. Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla and baking soda. mix well
Pour over popcorn and nuts , mix well put in greased cake pans. Bake uncovered for 45 min at 250 degrees stirring every 15 min. Cool on wax paper
