     Turkey Chili

about 3 pounds ground dark turkey meat
1 large onion chopped
1 can chopped green chilis, 8oz.
2 tablespoons minced garlic
6 tablespoons ancho chili powder
2 tablespoons ground cumin
1 tablespoon ground coriander
1-2 tsp salt (I use sea salt)
1 large can diced tomatoes (or chop whole canned toms), 28 oz.
2 cans beans, your choice, drained and rinsed (pinto, chickpeas, kidney...), 16 oz. each
optional—add 1-2 tsp dried oregano, add corn
Garnish- yogurt or sour cream, pickled jalapenos, avocado

Heat large pan, add a small amount of olive oil. Saute ground turkey until brown. Add onion and cook about 5 minutes. Add spices and garlic, tomatoes and beans. Bring mixture to a boil, then reduce heat. Add a bit of liquid if needed. Simmer 30 minutes.
