     Channel 11- Country Ribs

Ingredients
3 1/2 lb boneless hort ribs
2T veg oil
2 Large onions
1T tom paste
6 garlic cloves, minced
2 C red wine
1 C beef broth
4 large carrots, peeled, cut 2- pices
4 sprigs fresh thyme
 
1 bay leaf
1/4 c water
1/2 t gelatin

Instructions
heat oven 300. Pat veef dry; season 2t salt/1t peper. heat 1T oil in dutch oven. add 1/2 beef and cook 4-6 min (well browned)turn. repeat.
reduce heat to med add onions, cook. 12-15 min (onion soft/brown) add tom paste-brown 2 min add garlick cook 30 sec, increase heat to mH add wine, simmer 8-10 min. add broth, carrots, thym bay leaf. add beef simmer. transfer to oven 2 1/2 hr turn twice while cooking
water in small bowl. sprinkle gelatin, let stand 5 min. transfer meat/carrots to platter. finish gravy
