     Chocolate-caramel biscotti

Ingredients
6 T butter, soft
1C brown sugar
2Large eggs
2 3/4 c flour
1/2 c cocoa powder
1t baking soda
1/2 c toffee bits
1/3 c toasted and choped silvered almonds
 

Instructions
preheat overn to 300. line a baking sheet w/ parchment paper. in a large bowl, beat butter and sugar at med sppeed w/ an electric mixer until creamy. add eggs, one at a time, beatinguntil combined. in a med bowl, combine flour, cco, and baking soda. gradually add to butter mixture, beating until combined. stir in toffee bits and almonds. shape batter into 2 9 1/2 in x 3 in logs on prepared baking sheet. bake for 30 min. remove from oven and let cook for 15 min. using serrated knife, cit dough crosswise into 3/4 in thick slices. place slices, cut side down, on baking sheet. bake for 15 min. turn slices over, and bake for 15 min longer. remove from oven, and cook completely on wire rack.
