     Cranberry cake

Ingredients
2 cups flour
1 and 1/4 cup sugar
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons butter
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg
2 cups fresh cranberries
 

Instructions
cream butter, sugar , eggs and vanilla. combine dry ingredients and add to sugar mixture alternately with the milk and dry ingredients. Fold in cranberries.
Bake 350 degrees in a greased 9x9 cake pan.
serve with golden sauce - heat 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup butter and 1/2 cup half and half with 1 teaspoon vanilla on low heat until butter is melted.
