Ingredients
1 pound bag of blackeye peas
3-4 pieces of hog jowl fresh or bacon
salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp vegetable oil
 

Instructions
Rinse peas and check for bad ones.
Put in large pan and cover with water.
Add meat and salt and pepper with vegetable oil.
Cover and cook on medium heat until tender. Check often and add water to peas covered.
