     GARY'S MOTHER'S MEAT PIE

Ingredients
Ground pork - 2 Lbs
Water - 1 Cup
Salt - 1 tsp
Poultry Seasoning - 1 tsp
Savory (optional) - 1/4 tsp
Onion - 1 good sized, chopped
 

Instructions
Put all ingredients in a large pan. Simmer for 2 hours (stirring off and on esp. the first 15 minutes until the concoction comes to an equilibrium simmer) Drain most of the liquid Thicken with bread crumbs (maybe 1/2 cup ?)
This is the end of the 'stuffing' or 'dressing' recipe. For meat pie, assemble the pies with the stuffing in a crust of your choice. Cut a small 'steam' hole in the middle of the pie, then bake at 425 for 40 - 45 minutes or until the top crust gets golden color. NOTE- If you want to prepare them well ahead for freezing and reheat at a later date, reduce baking time to 30 minutes. Enjoy with red wine !

With a veggie or salad - and, of course, red wine.
