     Oven slow cook beef brisket

Ingredients
A good slab of beef brisket, fat removed as you like
2 Large onions
6 cloves garlic
Your favourite dry herbs
Your favourite barbeque sauce
 

Instructions
Pre-heat the oven to 160C. Lightly oil the base of your ovenable pan. Spread chopped onions and half the garlic (chopped).
Pat dry the brisket and generously rub with your dry herbs. Season well. Place briket on the onions/garlic in the pan. Sprinkle other onion and rest of garlic on top of brisket.
Use half a bottle of the BBQ sauce, and dilute with enough water so that when added to the pan, it covers half the brisket.
Put on lid (or foil) tightly and cook in the oven for 4 hours. When done, set aside brisket and move juices to a pan (with all the onions and garlic). Simmer the juices until thick and becomes the gravy. Thinly slice the brisket against the grain.
