Coat cauliflower pieces and carrots with yogurt, tumeric and salt. Set aside for 15 to 20 minutes.
Heat oil, add sesame seeds and green chillies in oil. When seeds sizzle, add onions, garlic and ginger. Fry till onions are glazed and slightly brown. Add cauliflower and carrots and stir while oil coat the veges. fry about 10 minutes. Cover and cook another 10 minutes at low to medium heat. Sprinkle water if necessary.
While veges cook, mix together soy sauce, ketchup, vinegar, hot sauce and pepper. Uncover and add sauce to veges and mix. Cover and cook till almost done.
Increase heat and stir fry till veges are done but not mushy. The dish does not have much gravy or sauce other than the little hugging the veges. Top with chopped green onion.
