     Chocolate Meringue Cups

Ingredients
4 large Eggs
1/4 tsp Cream of Tartar
1 cup Sugar
1 cup Chopped Pecans (optional)
1 tsp Vanilla
1 cup Semisweet Chocolate Chips
2 tsp Vanilla
2 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
 

Instructions
Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until foamy. Slowly add sugar, beating constantly at high speed until stiff peaks form. Fold in pecans and vanilla. Spoon onto aluminum foil-lined baking sheet. Shape into shells with back of spoon. Bake at 300 for 30-40 minutes. Turn off over and leave in with door closed until firm and dry (1-2 hours). Cool.
Melt chocolate chips in double boiler; cool and blend in vanilla. Whip cream and fold into chocolate. Spoon into chilled meringues shells. Chill for 2 hours.
