4 cups tart apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
Yogurt Sauce-
1 1/2 cups vanilla yogurt
3 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. lemon juice
Instructions
For cake, preheat oven to 350F, lightly grease or spray a 13x9 pan. In a large bowl, beat eggs white until slighly foamy; stir in sugar, applesauce and vanilla.
On a piece of waxed paper, combine flour, cinnamon, baking soda and salt; add to applesauce mixture and blend well.
Arrange apple slices over bottom of prepared pan. Gently pour batter over apples and spread evenly. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack.
For yogurt sauce combine yogurt, brown sugar and vanilla. Stir until smooth. Spoon over each cake serving.
