     Smoky Cranberry apple relish salad

Ingredients
1 bag ( 12 oz) fresh cranberries
1 c sugar
3/4 c apple juice
1/4 minced red onion
2 T butter
2 granny smith apples, peeled and chopped
1/2 c cookwell bock and brown sugar bbq sauce
 

Instructions
Place cranberries, sugar , apple juice, red onion, and butter in medium sauce pan. Bring to boil over medium heat. Reduce heat to medium low;simmer mixture, uncovered, until cranberries begin to pop open.
Stir in chopped apples and bbq sauce. Return to boil and simmer 5-7 minutes. Let cool; then cover and chill at least 24 hours before serving.

recipe can be made and stored in refrigerator up to 3 days in advance.
