In a large skillet, fry the bacon strips, remove and set aside. Add cut up chicken to the pan and brown. Remove from pan and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the sliced onions and garlic cloves (whole) and cook.
When onions and garlic is carmelized, add chicken back in and cook for 30-40 minutes.
When chicken is done, remove it from the pan. Use a potato masher and mash up the onions and garlic. Pour over chicken. Chop chives and bacon, and sprinkle on the chicken.
