Pre-heat oven to 400oF. Trim stems off beets and wrap in tin foil.
Bake appx 1 hr. cool

When cool enough to handle rub off peel. (I recommend wearing
gloves) Cut into eights or quarters, depending on size of beet and
place in large bowl.

|
Over mod. heat, melt butter with horseradish, syrup,vinegar S&P.
in a large skillet.
|
|
|
Stir in beets and bring to boil stirring occasionally until liquid is
absorbed (reduced to about 1/4 cup) and beets are coated and
tender.
