Mix oats, brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, baking powder. Stir in raisins and nuts. In separate bowl mix milk,eggs, and vanilla (and applesauce, if using) Batter will be thick. Melt butter in micro, add to batter. Bake at 350 for 30 min.

NOTE- After baking and cooling, I cut the oatmeal into 8 pieces. These I put in a sandwich bag, then into large freezer bag and store in freezer.They will defrost in 1 minute. Sometimes, I pour milk over them before defrosting and eat like hot oatmeal. We take these with as a filling and healthy travel snack.
